Moi
I was born in the Horn of Africa in a little beautiful country called Djibouti where the sun shines daily. But when I was 9 my parents decided enough with this heat!! We’re moving to the Great White North … the beautiful country of Canada. So having experienced 2 very different cultures, I’ve worked a long time on combining them. Hence the NewNomad…
In trying to reconcile my Somali culture with my Canadian culture has brought to light many thoughts and observations that are often hilarious, sometimes scary, but mostly funny as hell.
This is the basis of my comedy, and most of my life to be honest. I’ve decided to share these observations and since my friends and family have heard enough of it YOU are next!! Whether you want to or not!
Life’s a stage! Get on it! I can help!

Done is better than perfect

We often hear about perfection; The trainer will tell the trainee that “practice makes perfect” as if it’s an attainable endeavor. The thing is that there is no such thing as “perfect”, it has and always shall remain a figment of our imagination. So why do let it paralyze us to the point of inaction?
