In trying to reconcile my Somali culture with my Canadian culture has brought to light many thoughts and observations that are often hilarious, sometimes scary, but mostly funny as hell.

We often hear about perfection; The trainer will tell the trainee that “practice makes perfect” as if it’s an attainable endeavor.
